Today's article may come as a bit of a surprise, given that the club posted one yesterday. Nevertheless, here's another one. Please let me advise that faving this news article will increase the chances of it being seen, and therefore increase the chances of the deviations within it being seen. I (~mrjans) contributed all of these deviations, so I hope you enjoy. ;)

Enough is enough!

~trojanmoose:icontrojanmoose: reports, December 20, 2007
This has to be said:

I’m not going to post any links and I don’t want anyone to do it in their comments either because I’m not an asshole, I’m not pointing a finger at people.

I have seen a lot more complaining lately than there deserves to be about the content some people post.

In the absolute calmest way possible for me to say, this has to stop or DA will just become a harbor for Narutards and YouTube freaks.

We do not have the right to say what is appropriate or right in a creative community and there is absolutely no reason anyone should speak ill of someone’s choice to content.

In our early years of “enlightened” society, we tried to sensor artists and writers and because of it, there was war, there was hate and lines drawn in the sand while people whispered education and secret things in the dark.

How many people do we consider to be classic writers and the kings and gods of our artistic past? How many of them were censored and shunned for what they did when they did it?

We have no right to determine what should and shouldn’t be stopped on here, that’s the whole point of a creative content community.

You want to lead a cause like some crucifix staved cleric? Get the laws changed in the States to get the Patriot Act rescinded, get the slavers of the past to pay a debt owed to their colored victims, walk in a gay pride parade and help them get marriage rights.

You want a cause?

Go find one, leave DA alone and let people do what they do best.

I see someone gave my little rant the ole boo-hoo, grow a pair jackass and post your comment, dont just frown and run like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar!

It's really funny you should say that cuz the book I've been working on for the past few years is about Internet Censorship.

Somehow, I doubt I'll ever finish it though, since I seem to have too much to say on the matter.

You can write the book, and I'll turn mine into an encyclopedia or something.

absolutely, i wont have room to fit the source links and quotes in once im done ranting :P

its sad but I typed twenty eight pages of it last night...god, Im still angry too
=MyNameMattersNot:iconMyNameMattersNot: Dec 21, 2007, 2:33:47 PM
Anger can be a good motivational force if you channel it positively.

Ironically, I suspect I probably need someone else to edit my own writing, cuz I have a tendency to go on and on when I feel strongly about something, which can be a turn-off to a lot of people -- much of my writing has a distinctly manifesto-type feel to it.
