Whats New

I released the latest Comic artists tools and Resources article. If you have resources for future articles note me with them (On DA tutorials preferably).

Stolen art and Photo-manipulations

A stolen and edited drawing is not a photo-manipulation, it's a copyright infringement. I get at least 2 reports a week of someone reporting a drawing that's been edited saying that it should be in photo-manipulation category instead.
1. a Drawing is not a photo, so how could it go into Photo-manipulation?
2. The art was just stolen and altered, that's not art, it's theft.

Please, I know I mentioned this in the last comics mini newsletter in great detail, but I ask again that you please pay attention to what you report violations as. The choice you pick will change where the violation is sent. It would be nice if people helped spread this kind of information, post links to the FAQ's in your journals, send people to these kinds of news articles if you see them asking questions. I'm but one person floating in a rather large sea of comic and cartoon artists, I can't reach everyone and we are a community aren't we? Please, help me help you.

On that note, please do not note me with copyright violations. Report them to the help desk with the "report Policy Violation" link.
