Blog Features of 2007

=saturnangel:iconsaturnangel: reports, December 30, 2007
Author’s Note: I have a varied selection of works here, because I--like most--enjoy a varied selection of art. In submitting this article, I went with the genre I have featured the most. I actually went to each deviation featured in this article and looked at what type they were; until an easier method for determining that is easier...

Next year, I'll just label it when I copy/paste the thumbnail.

I'm not going to clutter this up too much with a long-winded speech about how the pieces are all great and fantastic in their own way (though they are); I just hope you guys go and see that for yourselves. ^^; But the thing I like about DeviantART is its “word-of-mouth” capability. People see something they like; they tell a few of their friends who tell their friends and so on. Features are good for this function, be it as a Daily Deviation or an honored spot in someone’s blog.

I started featuring pieces in my own blog back in May, and I figured it would be cool to give these great pieces one more chance to be seen. Some you might recognize; some you may be seeing for the first time.

A couple of artists I would like to acknowledge before getting to the features:

:iconlastonepicked: - In the last year or so that I’ve known and worked with her, her style of art and storytelling has grown and evolved into something that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I’m very grateful to have her artistic help and her friendship. No doubt, you’ll be seeing her work in comic book stores one day.

:iconlieutenantdeath: - Really, her art just rocks. :XD: I would definitely keep my eye on her if I didn’t have her on my watch list already. *pays the lame joke fine*

:iconendling: - His Everafter series is the kind of twist on fairy tales that I absolutely love. Be sure to investigate the rest of his gallery; his character designs are absolutely to die for. It would definitely be an honor to work with him on a project some day.

:icongeneratinghype: - DeviantART isn’t just about stunning visual artists; good writers exist here, too! Say hello to one of them.

The pleasure of a year's worth of sweet art to look at (including an amazing pixel doll that I really need to get off my ass and do something with) is all mine. ^^;

Ach, hit send too soon...um....daaaaaaamn, Cris. thank you so much. <3 Since I'm the artist and not the writer, um...same to you?

:iconsaturnangel:
You're the artist who can write; I'm the writer who can make character-themed jewelry. :XD: And candles! :D

It's been a good year. :hug: Hopefully next year will be just as good.
