reports, July 16The winners of the Breaking Free contest have been announced! Amongst the entries were a daily deviation, a news feature and many stunning pieces of space art. The aim of my contest was take a piece I had rendered in Vue 6 and manipped a smoketrail into, and "spacify it" - that is use it as a stock to make a space related piece of art.

Since we had a visual contest last time, this one will be a written one.
That's right, we want you to write a song. And not just any kind of song. We want you to write aLOVE song.
The contest will run for the whole month of January, and the vote for the winner will hopefully be done by the second week of February.
You can submit your entries in the usual way; just tell us in the note that this submission is for the contest. You will be limited to two contest submissions per member. The winning submission will become the community's featured deviation.
Remember that while the contest is going on, you can still submit works that are not for the contest; and we are always looking for new visual deviations that have been inspired by lyrics. After all, that is what our community is about.
Thank you all for another year of supporting our community.
