Announcing Our Next Contest! "Avatar ID Contest"
FractalDreams needs a new Avatar/ID/Icon/CSS Header. So our next contest will be to create a fractal that will represent FractalDreams!

Rules, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1. May be a fractal made with any fractal program.
2. Bare Minimum Post work only. Small signature is allowed, no Frame, no other manipulations.
3. The Fractal must be the only component.
4. Must represent the entire community of FractalDreams.
5. The Fractal must be adaptable to an Avatar, an ID/Icon, and a CSS.

**Explaination - Dimensions of the Fractal are not as important as the ability to cut out sections of a fractal in order to make a header and footer image for a CSS.
Headers are roughly 900 pixels by 200 or 360 pixels. The Footers are roughly 900 x 100 or so. What we have done in the past is to select an area of the fractal that can be used. The hardest part is to try to resize for a header and footer because of the long rectangle dimensions. The DA Icon has to be 50x50 pixels so a fractal that can be either resized or a section that can be used is what we are looking for. The Icon is the entire fractal, but has to look good downsized. We will work with the artist to create the components for use on Fractaldreams.
6. You must grant FractalDreams the rights to use all or parts of the piece freely on DeviantArt.
7. Must be a new fractal not already in your gallery as of January 1, 2008,
8. The Fractal may not be submitted to or displayed on any other page or Journal on DA. This includes both community pages and individuals pages other than your own personal page or Journal or it will be disqualified.
9. We welcome both current and new members to participate! Only one entry per member.
10. The contest entry deadline is 2/15/08 at midnight / United States Central Standard Time.

**Special Note - We will not open any of the contest submissions until the end of the contest. None will be submitted on this site until the contest officially ends. Each entry will then be submitted when voting is to begin. So if you do not see your contest submission posted this is the reason.
11. The entry for the contest should be a note with the LINK as: "Contest Submission". Please send a contest entry in a separate note with the link. ***In other words do not send three links to submissions in the same note that you have your Contest Submission". You may however still send in your regular 3 submissions per week, either separately or all in one note. The contest entry will not be counted as an extra submission.

Judging:
Each entry will first be judged on it's adaptability to the different formats.
Then, the 2 Admins; the Vice Admin; the Contest Coordinator; The Membership Coordinator; and the Gallery Manager of FractalDreams will select their top 3 choices.

Finally, the FractalDreams Members will vote for the winner.
Voting will be open for one week and will close on 2/24/08 at Midnight US Central Standard Time.
