Several contest have ended so they are in the process of being judged They are as follows:

More contests and events will be starting soon after all 2007 loose ends are tied up. We need to start fresh for the new year!

Club Spotlight

*ComixOnline is actively seeking members and submissions! I know there are lots of people out there with online comics so hoof it over there! I constantly get people asking what they can do to get noticed on DA, in fact thats got to be the thing I get asked most in notes (second only to DD Suggestions) and my answer is always comment on art, go to the forums, hang out in chats and join relevant clubs. Here one sits!

Even if you don't join, it's awesome if you guys can support your fellow comic artists and groups by spreading they clubs around.
Link'em with stamps, add them to your signature, link them in journals, tell people about them if they are asking for clubs or ways to get noticed.

Whats New

I ran a poll to see interest in a Comics and cartoons Gallery forum and I see you are all very interested in that. As you know Most major galleries on DA have their own gallery linked at the bottom of the page when you browse, and also in the drop down in the forums. Comics and Cartoons is missing that, and I think it's about time that was remedied.
Until I can fight this injustice with my super AR powers I suggest you keep the Chat room#CandC warm and active as it's currently our only comics communication outlet.
I will mention that if Comics cant get it's own outside of Fanart and Anime/Manga then there wouldnt be much point, so that is my intent. I noted a few of you expressing concern over fanart pairings of characters being discussed in a forum, thats a fanart issue not comics and cartoons.

The Ar newsletter is now on opposite weeks from before and now falls on the weekend I do the Comics and Cartoons Mini Newsletter, so I'm going to have to make another missed week to make them alternate again.
So the next AR Newsletter will be late, but hopefully by that time we'll have some contest prizes, and new contests to announce!

DD Suggestions - I am NOT the Manga/Anime gallery director, and I am NOT the Fanart gallery director. I am the comics and cartoons gallery director only. Please send all Spiderman, batman, and other arts containing mainstream comic characters to the FANART GD ^ArtisticAunJuli and Anime/Manga Styled art to either ^azarath or ^touchedvenus.
Please check the category before sending your DD suggestions.

Also be sure you send your rip reports to the help desk via the "report policy violation" link on the deviation. I do not deal with Copyright or policy issues, just the comics galleries maintenance and projects.
