This is a fairly short news article and my first ever submitted, but I thought it would be nice to place up here for my fellow stock artist/artist, anyways
I don't think I could ever become a decent artist without stock artist, either, for whether it's background or models, stock art taught me a challenge: I could make something realistic yet unique using something unique already. Now, the thing being, is I can't choose 2,008 stocks without driving me insane to fetch thumbs, but I did choose 8 for the new '08 year. These are, so far, my favorite stocks I have found during my 11 months of Deviantart in 2007. It was difficult choosing, I was even about to say 'forget it' to only EIGHT stocks, but I decided some still needed a feature.
So, here are the stocks I choose as my favorite for the new '08 year. Hopefully, they'll become your favorites, too. Keep in mind to follow the stock artist's rules

The stocks are in no specific order. I tried my best to explain why I like the piece, but you know, pictures are worth a thousand words, and most of these pieces are a thousand words...

If there's one thing I like about this stock, is that it defiantly speaks for itself. This piece really gave me a ghostly feeling when I first found it. The eyes is what really got to me- how her eyes are presented in a unique matter truley shows how creative you can get with looks.

You can't disagree when I say this is a gorgeous piece of an adorable little fairy. Words can't describe why I love this piece so much.

This has to be one of the most male creative stock I have ever found. This piece, too, gives a sadden feeling, and you could see one thing in this piece with just a simple glance: a photographer model with talent.

A lovely face and lovely eyes. This is one of the most creative profile pieces I had ever found, hence why I chose it. The best thing is the angle of the face and how the model really placed effort into this piece. In result, you get one gorgeous profile stock.

I had a hard time choosing from this stock artist gallery from all of her Ophelia pieces. Just looking at this piece could tell you the story of Hamlet itself, and not only that but you could literally "feel" the model's expression. How she does it so perfectly? I have no idea.

This is another magnificent piece and this is coming from an alto-sax player! What I love about this incredibly wonderful piece is that it shows creativity and expression in the simplest way.

Aw, kids. They can be noisy, yet sweet. This piece surely shows the innocent of a child. Not only that, but the quality and the photograph itself really captures this adorable little girl's eyes. I think this is agreeable that I HAD to add this stock to my favorites.

Yes, my eyes rolled out of my sockets, too, when I saw this piece myself, and instant, "I MUST USE THIS!!!" came out of my mind. The lighting placed here, the background, everything of this piece is too great for words.
So, I hope you enjoyed this article without me babbling over the place. I'm horrible at explaining things, this is my first news article, and if I ever decided to do more, constructive criticism is appreciated

Happy 2008 everyone!
