This new article is dedicated to you, people from USA, Great Britain, Australia, Germany... for all of you, who live in democratic countries. It is a story about my home-country, the Czech republic and its fight for freedom and democracy. And I think it can help you to gain some very important and interesting information!
Exactly twenty years ago, the famous Velvet revolution started in the Czech republic and it finally brought freedom and democracy to the country. During the communist rule, there were political murders, violence and other terrible crimes against the humanity. Read the story about 40 years of totalitarian regime and the final fight for freedom!
As of October 28th, the GLBT community of the United States of America is now protected under the hate crimes laws. It took them almost 6 years after Canada got their laws changed, but they finally did!
It's that time of year when deviants carve pumpkins, watch horror flicks, and break out their spookiest costumes for themselves, their OCs, and their favorite fictional characters. Enjoy some of dA's more underappreciated Halloween art!
Weve all heard about it by now; the H1N1 virus, or originally called Swine Flu and though there are plenty of theories where it came from or how much of a problem it may be, I have done a bit of research over the last few months and have come up with a small bite of information that people can read should they become concerned, or just want to know a bit more before they accuse someone of having the virus, or if you yourself think you may
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is offering the public a chance to make Olympic history by designing an Olympic medal for the Youth Olympic Games.
People around the world are being invited to submit their designs for the medals to be awarded at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which will be held in Singapore next year, from 14 to 26 August 2010.
The argument that global warming is due to humans, known as the anthropogenic global warming theory (AGW) is a deliberate fraud. I can now make that statement without fear of contradiction because of a remarkable hacking of files that provided not just a smoking gun, but an entire battery of machine guns.
The Coppenhagen Treaty or any other model to reduce green house gases should take into account the conversion of current green house gas emitting infrastructure...
NGEN's proposed conversion of coal and gas fired power stations to hydrogen and the supply of hydrogen for cars will revolutionise the worlds energy sector.
People steal art... i want to know exactly why? Is it your too lazy to get up off your ass and learn to draw and find your own art style? Is it that other artists are too good for you? I want to aware some of the artists here on DA that i go around and people take and repost the same picture in every F***** place.... it make me mad/sad to see this. If you want to draw something, do so by learning to draw yourself instead of taking peoples art. I hope that some people on DA that make things themselves and have had things stolen from them before understand this. Thank you, and please comment with some answers to why U think people steal art.
yea i've seen this b4 but i think people do it because they're depressed that their art isn't as good as those CELEBS out there xD u know wut i mean? They don't wanna be embarrassed is my guess xD lol

seems to true. i was looking over new art people had posted, this one person freaking takes a bunch of art and just posts it and says "I really like the way I DREW Gaara here..." i was like "Dude... wtf?!"
i just got pissed off for seeing the same damn picture put up by so many people... and i finally found the original artist who even had the WIP and i was like O.O OMG ART STEALERS!
Second not everyone that posts art that isn't theirs to get attention, some are genuinely ignorant of the rules. I find myself unable to be angry at someone who posts something that isn't theirs because they think this is photobucket, at least if they take it down once they're told that they're only allowed to post their own art.
I know they should have read the rules when signing up but most people didn't read them in full anyway. From what I've seen most people just learn the rules as they get to know the site better.
By the way speaking of art theft have you looked at your own gallery recently? I have a heavy doubt that you took this picture or this one. I could be wrong and if I am I apologize. Of course the fact that you categorized it as a drawing when it's clearly not drawn makes it suspicious.
Also you're not allowed to have anime screen shots in your gallery, not even as previews so this breaks copyright policy. Do you know why? You're using an image you didn't make instead of just making a preview image yourself. Also next time save it as a .swf file, so it really counts as flash.
I can find morethanone thing in your favourites that relies on copyrighted music, not made by the artist to make sense. And from what I can see at least one thing in your favourites is a screen shot.
Just because something's popular or famous that doesn't make it any less art theft. Think about that before you start ranting about something that you seem to commit and condone yourself.

I think they steal art because they have nothing better to do. That and they a low self esteem about their art and just want to ruin other's reputations.
