Tribal tattooing plays with positive and negative space, working from ancient, powerful symbols of cultures from all over the world. Filipino American Leo Zulueta is credited as the father of modern Tribal tattooing, taking a deep understanding of the cultural and compositional elements of the design and the way it adapts and/or enhances the body's shapes, and bringing them together in a new expression that never goes out of style. This is a small selection from the hundreds of original fine tattoo works of the Body Art > Tattoo category. deviantART houses many excellent tattoo artists from all over the world, so look around and find someone near you... you could be the canvas and inspiration for a new work of art.
