reports, January 7Hello everyone, and welcome to the first article from IFDDS of the new year ~2008~ !! I am =Rhienel and I will be your hostess for the duration of this news jouney, er, I mean journal…ok so the happenings and goings on around the fractal community are first up. So according to what was just reported in ^Sophquest’s AR journal, the contest are as follows: first we have the “Cohesive Collection” fractal contest run by our own ^Sophquest, and the judging has just started. Next we have the “Lyric Interpretation” contest sponsored by =ladydetemps and ends no later then the 20th of Jan. [link] ; then there is the “Marbleous Universe” contest currently on ~MarbliciousFractals and ends on the 26th of Jan. [link] ; then there is always the WTC (Weekly Theme Challenge) hosted by *Apophysis and the deadline is per challenge found here: [link] another contest recently started is the “Avatar/ID” contest on *FractalDreams and ends the 15th of Feb. [link] and lastly but by no means least, there is the “Monthly Themed” contest hosted by IFDDS with per contest deadlines, [link]
Now in other news, the winner of the FAotY has been announced by our very own =LonesomeFaery!
The winner is of course *Zueuk! Congratulations Zueuk, and jobs well done by all of the other contestants…all are great fractalists and I know that the competitin and judging must have been fierce! So keep up the great work everyone.
And now, this concludes mostly the news for now, though I do want to remind you that on the 20th of this month, I will be featuring in a news article along with any other new news two “New Fractalists of the Month” one male candidate and one female candidate. Something to keep in mind is I am hoping to have an event quarterly where some of the more experienced of this art form and the new fractalist of that quarter and of course others who what to improve this art can chat together and get to know one another better in a “Meet and Greet Mixer” so we can form closer bonds in the fractal community. So hope to see a lot of you there.
