Director of Artist Relations


Hello!

The purpose of Artist Relations is to strengthen the community spirit as well as network with fellow artists so that we may bring outside opportunities to you, and help you to hone your skills. The Gallery Directors are the first people you should go to regarding your galleries. They are the people you need to make gallery suggestions to, and ask questions about your specific genre, or seek knowledge from. They also act as your lifeline to the administration. They are here to support and listen, and I can tell you we've got incredibly talented, devoted and passionate people on this team, so get to know them!

News

A new year brings new changes as we wish a fond farewell to `JesusIV, `patgroove and `dedredhed. Please take the time to wish them well and thank them for their contributions.

We'd like to also wish a Happy Birthday (over the last couple of days) to both ^skifi and `kuschelirmel. To keep up to date on the birthday's of your fellow deviants, check out Junkbyjen's Journal

I am about to make an odd request and the reason is, we desperately need your help in assisting us to catch up. Due to some technical issues, we were unable to deal with miss-categorized deviations for almost two weeks and as such the backlog has grown into (what seems like) an insurmountable task. I believe we can get through it but if everyone were to take a week off from reporting and let us catch up with the backlog, that would be spectacular. Otherwise, expect a delay while we try and catch up. Thank you for your patience and your co-operation

I have just cleared the backlog of prizes owed to people from contests we've run with the exception of people we owe lanyards to, as they are currently out of stock. They will be re-stocked shortly and I will have them sent out - enjoy

The submission issues where submitting to one category (like fantasy) sent your deviation to anime/manga etc, has been rectified. I've scoured through everything line by line, and I believe have found them all. It almost pains me to say this, but should you find remaining issues, please let me know via note or email.

Updates from Artist Relations ,for the most part, will no longer be a hot topic as it is not my teams intent to annoy or pester you but rather feed the community with information that is viable and interesting to them. If you fancy yourself an "AR Supporter" and would like to be part of our viral team to spread the joy we have to bring (man that sounds wrong) please check out this poll and get involved. There will be a shiny stamp in it for you!

Please do not send policy related questions or issues to the gallery directors as they are not equipped nor permitted to deal with these sorts of issues. Your first step to receiving an answer related to policy is always Help Desk If you do send these sorts of issues to my team, they will redirect you to Help Desk or myself thus increasing the time it will take you to get an answer. I appreciate that sometimes it seems easier to contact someone you are friendly with but, in fact, it can put my team in a very uncomfortable, frustrating and precarious situation. Please don't do this to them, we all appreciate it

There are obvious gaps in the team that will need to be filled. I am currently working through assessing the team and deciding what we need and I will put the call out as necessary. We're prepping for a busy and exciting 2008!


Please help out my team by sending your daily deviation suggestions to one person only. There is great confusion caused when you suggest the same piece to multiple gallery directors. We appreciate it
