Lately I've been spending some time on the newly-reunited band, Rage Against the Machine, website. On their forums, as well as on many of their videos on YouTube, I saw alot of "Ron Paul 2008" stuff.
I must say, I am very annoyed by this because all the people who support RATM and are at the same time going to vote for Ron Paul are acting exactly like he wants them to.
Let me explain myself. Rage Against the Machine being an anarchist band, I assume that those who praise them and say that their lyrics changed the way the look at the world are anarchists, too, like myself. The problem is that they support someone who takes the looks of an anarchist, but is in no way a true one.
The thing is, most of these people hopped on the bandwagon, just because some people said that Ron Paul wants to dismantle the big corporated government. True. The thing is, Ron Paul is not an anarchist. He is merely a Libertarian, or if you prefer, an anarcho-capitalist. This means he wants to give more freedom to private companies, to release them from the corporation.
It's not because it's not Fox news that you don't have to be critic about what you hear or read.
Quote:
Think about what your life might look like if no one could tell Walmart, or Halliburton, or Microsoft, "No."... It should be obvious that this would probably lead to a sort of wage-slavery that would leave us reflecting back on today's capitalism as "the good ole days."
Capitalists desire to dismantle the government because they want to be in control. NOT because they are your friends!
I am against the capitalist system. Not against the corporations who prevents private companies who profit in it (Wal-Mart, Microsoft and others) to lower the wage, dump poison in your water, etc. The thing is, anarchists want the capitalist system to fall. They want to put an end to exploitation. What disturbs me is that some of them seem to think that the best path to do that is to cut the chains that keep the big companies to exploit the people even more.
Also, I read stuff in which people said: he is the best shot we can take. PLEASE! He's, besides the Republicans, the worst thing that could happen to the USA. Any democrat is a better option, even Clinton.
Anarchists, if you're going to vote at all, do not voter for Ron Paul. He's not one of yours.

And don't worry about your english, it's actually not bad! I've seen people who speak it as their only language maul it beyond understanding.

All of today's large companies came from yesterday's small ones. It has to start somewhere. Let's just kill off the small companies now and save us the trouble of doing it years from now.
I'd vote for Thompson, but I don't think he'll make it. I'll be better off with Romney or Huckabee.

However I didn't write this news article because I think being against the system is cool.
Also, you're right about the fact that we complain about big shitty companies. The capitalist system must be broken at it's roots, not at it's highest leaves.
