Future Stars of Photomanipulation #9-Special Issue

=Behana:iconBehana: reports, January 10
After the announcement that ~The-Undiscovered project has been closed, *Iardacil, who was a staff member there, felt that there is now big gap for featuring up and coming future artists. So, to try to fill that gap a little, she asked her dear and talented friend =Behana to help her and the result they produced this news article.

The aim of this article is to give exposure for promising, talented and outstanding photomanipulators, who have had little or no exposure so far. These deviants are chosen for their skill, works, originality and variety.

Maybe these fortnightly features combined with our words of encouragement will help some new photomanipulators catch some of the limelight, but also to give audience’s here some idea that in the world of photomanipulations there are no borders and the possibilities are endless. The only limit is your imagination.

There are four categories, all based on how many pageviews the deviant has. Under 100, Under 1 000, Under 5 000, Under 10 000, Under 20 000.

As you may have realised there has been a bigger than usual gap between this issue and issue 8. This is because; especially for you we have been working extra hard and as a result we give to you our Extended New Year Edition with a mega 20 selections.

Enjoy and have a Happy New Year!

Under 100:

:bulletblue:When looking for deviants that fit into this category you get an idea for people’s skill level. So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled across ~fgoellner’s gallery. I was overwhelmed by the standard of her work, the detail and technique is very good. I am really looking forward to future works.

:bulletpurple:~mishnonsensical will really soon be someone very popular here, I am sure. The first work she has submitted reflect so much of what we all want to see - dreamy scenery, bright and brilliant colors, superb composition and yes, a girl with gorgeous dress. And the way she has explained her work to us - it is always good to know that manips are always not the picture itself but also the artist's thoughts about what she has created.

Under 1 000:

:bulletred:Even though ~shinodaaa hasn’t been with us long, she is already showing impressive aptness for photomanipulation and I think if she keeps going she will really improve. Her texture use is advanced for someone who is relatively just branching out into the style.

:bulletblue:Golden landscapes, bright colors, unbelievable beauty of the nature, light and darkness blended to create even more stunning effect - all that can be said about ~venitedeath's gallery. To be honest, I have not seen many as impressive landscapes galleries like his.

:bulletpurple:I would have never believed that with so unique and outstanding gallery this brilliant deviant could have only little more than 200 pageviews. But it is true - *Ryuneo gallery is something extraordinary - the way he makes his pieces and the themes he chooses - they are always very unique, personal, and lately really colorful. The surreal themes combined with his imagination and the result is unforgettable.

Under 5 000

:bulletred:I love ~liadan-bran’s gallery in ever possible way. It’s fantastic! The ease with which she switches from one style to another is really good to see. All her pieces, whatever the style are worth a look. So take half and hour and have a good long look, you won’t regret it.

:bulletblue:=ArcaneBrain has truly mystical gallery with amazing use of colors. Every work she has is like a little touch of magic and forgotten legends, something dreamy and melancholic, making us feel like we have lost something and giving us hope to regain it trough her works and her magic.

:bulletpurple:~Satangelica has came long road from her first manipulations to the level she achieved now - she has beautiful sense of combining different stocks and creating something unexpected. Her dreamy and soft colorschemes with longing and strong emotions - they make her works unforgettable

:bulletred:=Atra-Virago has very surreal gallery and to be honest - on DA there are quite many brilliant surreal galleries but I feel very few of them can compete with the brilliancy of her gallery. The soft and almost pastel colors combined with soft and smooth objects - most other works does look like they are very well painted and not give out that they are manipulations.

Under 10 000

:bulletblue:When looking through ;devleonadelioncourt:’s gallery you get emotionally attached to every piece. He stock choice is great and it shows in her pieces. Her ability to not overcomplicate her images is by far her biggest talent. A beautiful, simple gallery.

:bulletpurple:~x-gaijin-x has a really lovely gallery. She really explores different colours schemes and as a consequence her works are very rich. They also create a great base on which to impress moods and feelings.

:bulletred:*kire1987 has one of those artists who really likes to work with spaces scenes and to be honest - it is very refreshing. And the way his works reflects his vivid imagination and there is always something new and exciting to discover on every work he makes - a really most see gallery

:bulletblue:I have no idea how we had not featured =Eil so far as her gallery has always been one of the most impressive ones for me. The way she is never too shy nor jealous to share her techniques with others, makes her gallery a really great place where to learn new tips as there is so much to learn - flawless technique, superb sense of colors and balance - she is class of her own.

Under 20 000

:bulletpurple:I was very impressed by ~sweetx666’s gallery, with a it’s clever and impressive use of texture. Her different styles and moods she conveys in her pieces are really wonderful and they bring the models to life. A really simple but special gallery.

:bulletred:The wispy beauty of *LadyDarkRaven’s work is really unique and beautiful. Her delicate but strong style is a really interesting contrast that works well in the themes that she uses. She really uses this technique to the full when creating her Emotional/Dark pieces.

:bulletblue:I am so envious of =jcruzrobles’s technique. His brush use is something unprecedented and certainly special to him. Each of his pieces are imaginative, creative, thought-provoking and memorable. A gem of a gallery.

:bulletpurple:I have wanted to feature *Aegils ever since she entered “Moonlight Sonata” into one of *liam-stock’s contests. I never got round to it but now is my last chance since she’s nearing 20 000 pageviews. I love her work. She has the envious and undeniably priceless task of blending stocks seamlessly into their environment. A stunning gallery.

:bulletred:~donjuki's original and outstanding gallery is something you have to see. Those unique ideas what he has portrayed and created - the surreal and somehow horror touch he has added - it is brilliant and totally unique. He is artist who has found his very own style and can be so proud of what he makes

:bulletblue:*Versatis has such a vivid, rainbow colored gallery what combined with his unique way of combining different resources and creating unforgettable atmospheres is really remarkable.

FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic material'; what do you consider this to be?

Only fools are enslaved by time and space.
Let's put our 3D glasses on, hop in the TARDIS, and go to a magical island with time traveling bunnies on it; shall we?
