Weekly Help Desk Updates - Janurary 11th, 2008
Introduction
Welcome to the weekly Help Desk news. In these weekly updates we will attempt to bring you the most up to date information, as well as provide some helpful hints for super duper deviantART fun.
Hexe's Corner
The third edition to the Help Desk Policy guides has been launched as well as the next Hey Hexe, if you have not already checked them out you can so by clicking
here and
here.
Over the next two weeks we will be releasing two more guides, one will reference all points of contact for deviantART and another will cover basics that should be followed when contacting the Help Desk.
Ewm's Corner
Every so often when submitting news articles a duplicate article can occur. What should be done if this happens? Normally these articles are spotted by staff members and the duplicate is deleted within an hour or two of the article being posted. However sometimes the duplicate article can slide through the cracks and miss being deleted.
If this happens to you and your article is not deleted within 24 hours you can contact the
Help Desk to make sure your duplicate article is deleted. If you do need to send in a ticket we ask that you please
link us to both articles and clearly state which one you would like to be deleted. By doing this, it will make sure that the proper article is deleted (normally the one with the least amount of comments and favorites).

My update for this week ties in with the bit on "Moving Scraps back into Featured" I wrote in
last week's update. You might notice your deviation count doesn't match up with how many deviations you physically have in your gallery. Never fear, deviant! Your deviations haven't magically disappeared. What you are most likely seeing is those who have been set to display under the "featured" portion of your gallery. Clicking on "browse" (just above the first line of deviations) will show you everything you have submitted, excluding scraps.
Again, if you want to move these deviations into "Featured", click the blue "edit" button, followed by clicking on the little blue arrow under the deviation, choose "put in featured". Now click "done".
Now your "missing deviations" are displayed in the featured portion of your gallery again! If you've noticed missing deviations and the situation isn't the one I've described here please write us gals at the
Help Desk and we'll work to get your case resolved.
Weekly Tip
Did you ever wonder what to do when you do not approve of a Daily Deviation? If so,

Mama, just killed a man. Put a gun against his head. Pulled my trigger, now he's dead. Mama, life had just begun but now I've gone and thrown it all away.

82% of statistics in signatures are made up.
Spreading them is un-original and sheepish. If you agree, copy this in your... wait, no!
No to signature clichés! You are on an art site, be creative!
I've seen people complain about it by claiming nudity "covers" that page, but everytime I check, nudity is sparse/nonexistant.
