After a short hiatus, The Great Tutorial Adventure is back with another enriching article about tools, techniques, and ideas. In this installment we will be looking at oil painting.
On my previous article, I mentioned a particular kind of texture that would add a scratched look to your works, something angry/ expressive. This time I would like to suggest a different kind - grungy look.
It's not only expressive, but it also gives a very dramatic, dirty, washed out, and powerful look. Here are some resources available here on dA that you can experiment with.
Brushes and textures
Fonts
Some works that got dirty
PS - As I said before, if you know of any other good resources related to this theme, please leave your links on the comments as it is impossible for me to know them all. Thanks for sharing!
