I tend to over-process my pictures from time to time, and I really ask myself: is this piece of art still a photography? I mean the differences between the original image and the processed one are quite significant. Would my image fit better in the photo-manipulation category? But what if I made some major changes that consist only in color, contrast and adding a texture? I woudn't like to call that a photomanipulation.
This is why I find the Digital Darkroom category such a great thing. I just discovered it and I'm so enthusiast. I also love most of the images submitted in this category, so I'd like to present you some of my personal favorites.

*The order is totally random.
Some of my own photos submitted in Digital Darkroom:

So, for those of you who like to use Photoshop a lot for improving your photos: if you think you processed it so much that you kinda faked it, submit it into Digital Darkroom. Of course, that if it doesn't fit into Photo-Manipulation. Remember, this category is something in-between. If you edit your photos just a little, without falsifying them too much, then it's ok to submit them in the other photography categories.
I am kind of tired of seeing wrong submissions, especialy photos that look so fabricated that make you wonder: "How the hell did he/she make this?". Since this category is available, it woud be a great thing if all the hyper-edited photos would go in it. There may be some exceptions, of course, I can't deny.
