1.When did you start out at devart?
A: I openned my account two days after my birthday in 2006. The exact date was Dec 20th 2006.
2.did you gain fans quickly?
A: Yes, at the point I joined I had already a massive amount of work that I had done over the years that I was just itching to post. I portioned it out so that every few days I would post something new, and that was enough to keep people coming back for more.
3.who were your first fans?
A: Mostly people who like anime and Street Fighter as those are my strengths. A few people though recognized my name from conventions that I had attended or comics and books that had me in the credtis for art I did.
4.a question everyone would like to know,do you read your fans comments?
A: Even now, when I am getting a lot of comments per piece, I do read all of them. When there are so many comments, I cannot respond to all of them since I still have to work. On some of my journal posts I have had some rather long debates though that took a lot of my time to write, I enjoy those ones the most!
5.how much is your daily number of comments per deviation?
Comments per deviation: 95.92
Comments per day: 24.61
(Both those things are in the "Summary" list, but I am not sure which one you are asking about, so you pic which one is right!)
6.what makes you most mad?
A: Some people just refuse to read the text I write for each pic, and ask idiotic questions that are answered in there. What to do?
7.do you have any hints on how a deviant can gain more pageviews?
A: Update often, but don't look to bombard DA with new crap everyday. I find that quality gets the most hits, and while I am not saying you should not post your drawing you did on some cocktail napkin, try to have "Landmark Pieces" where you really bust ass on it. Answer your comments/notes, and don't get high on yourself if you do get hits, don't talk "down" to people, and watch what you say.
8.do you mind stalkers?
A: I have a few avid fans, but I wouldn't call them stalkers. I am not that popular I guess!
9.do you enjoy it when people tell you how great your art is?or does it get you pissed hearing the same things all over again?
A: Anyone likes being praised and hearing nice things. I personally do like it, because most of the times from editors I hear " No, you need to fix that, no that sucks etc" which can wear you down. I really like when I hear a nice thing from another artist I respect, thats when I know I hit it on the money.
10.what would you like to tell your fans?
A: I read everything you write, and I have taken your critiques seriously and changed my art many times because of it. I thank you for that. Also, your support really has made me work harder since I actually feel appreciated. Thank you for your support, really, it does motivate me a lot.
11.which piece made you most famous?
A: Hmm, there were a few pieces that really got some attention. I would say the "UDON Sketchbook Colour" and "Karin Colour" pics were very well received. My latest one "Country Charger"
[link] got the most amount of hits in the least amount of time on my site.
12.when do you think of leaving deviantart?
Not sure, seems to be a great way to reach fans!
13.what art topic/style/character do you think gains the most views?
Everyone likes girls apparently, and sometimes backgrounds as well. Some might say that the more crass the better, but I have found that quality in anything wil get hits bigtime. T & A don't cut it all the time. Good art always wins no matter what the subject mater.
