Have you ever thought, "Why do people ask for a critique if they don't want really want my opinion?"
Yes? Then we've got the job for you!
PoetryPlease presents the
Professional Review Team (PRT). This group is designed to match experienced poetry critiquers with inexperienced poetry writers to fill the gap that allows you to ask that question.
As a member of the PRT, your job will be to manage a small list of clients that have sought you out and genuinely what to improve their poetry. They'll be looking to
you for answers and are seeking
your guidance. Now, before you get all puffed up there, Yoda, you need to know that you will essentially be at their beck and call. They
are expected to understand that you do have a life, so if you really enjoy editing and critiquing, then you'll love this job.
Ok, so you don't get paid. But you do earn some excellent editing experience and PoetryPlease would be happy to write you a letter of reference and/or recommendation if you are seeking a career in the writing/editing field. A little experience can add up to a foot in the door somewhere, and that's what we want for you.
So what do you have to do? Well, first, you need to be a member of PoetryPlease. This is because we need to know you understand our
mission statement as it pertains to positive, constructive criticism.
Join now. Once that's done, or if you're already a member, you need to complete our application and note it to the club. We'll get back to you within a week.
So, ready to dive in?
