This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. We choose photomanipulations that have made an impression on us from the past week. We do not base our choices on preference or friendships and we have never featured ourselves. We simply pick photomanipulations showing creativity, technique and quality at the same time, and are simply eye-catching. As we are also stock artists, we will only feature the works that give proper credits to stock artists.

ArtRage 3 is finally released! ArtRage is an amazing painting program that acts a LOT like real paint! and the newest version is finally out - and this one has watercolours. And stickers (custom brushes) and is extremely fun and easy to use... and did I mention that the most expensive version is only $80?
Talent in Oekaki is a series of features focusing on the Java applets PaintBBS, OekakiBBS and Shi Painter. In these news stories, I aim to show that oekaki should not be underestimated! Call me an oekaki ambassador, if you will.
This installment focuses on those beloved companions, cats and dogs, who provide us with comfort when times are hard, and unconditional love when we feel alone. Which do you prefer? These deviants certainly make a strong case for both!
Cats
Dogs
As always - any new suggestions for themes, drop me a note!
Yay! Dogs and Cats my favorites! (Them and horses, that is.)

Cats and dogs are so popular (and the fight between which is better is ENDLESS, heheh). Honored to be featured again. Seems like it's been forever since I've attempted one.
This of course leads to avians, insects, and other animals, plants...though the bulk of oekaki is probably fanart, which may have more cons than pros. I think what you've featured here so far has been excellent because we're staying away from sooo many stereotypes.
The angel/demon is a great idea that leads into a. history, b. religion and c. opposites. There are probably a lot of pictures that focus on limited colors, or are primarily one color.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
