I'm a Mac user. For months, I've been using Apophysis. I used to have to use Boot Camp to use it. Which, as we all know, takes a long time to do. It's a lot of hassle. So after a few sleepless nights, I came out with this.
ApoMac is a carbon copy of Apophysis. The interface is the exact same. The rendering times are almost faster than a PC. Scripts, Plugins, all that stuff. It's Apophysis. On Mac.
How many times have you looks at fractals made by Apophysis users, and thought "Damn. Shoulda bought Windows." Well, here's your reason to never have to go back to it.
You need an Intel Mac (MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, recent Mac Minis, and recent iMacs) with X11 installed to use this. There's unfortunately, no easy way to get it to work on PowerPC Macs. I don't think there's even a hard way. Sorry to PowerPC users, there's nothing I can do. Or maybe there is? Find something, and I'll sure as hell try.
So, you're probably looking for the link, eh? Here you go:
DOWNLOAD ApoMac [link]
So, have fun. Don't forget to fave it if you use it!
What it really is is a launcher for WINE, pointed straight at Apophysis. But hey, it works.
