I post this here to have a maximum feedback, since I don't have that many watchers lol!
I'm a french dancer/actress, and with a friend of mine we have written a dance/drama duo that we are in the process of bringing to the stage here in Paris. As you can imagine, this is a long and difficult process involving a lot of investment, personnaly and financially.
This show is about the condition of women in our society, and the difficulty to find the "juste milieu" (balance) between what society expects a woman to be, and that "wild" part of us that also wants to break free, but can wreak havoc if it's not well directed.
At one point in the show, we would like to project on a veil a lot of images of "constraints" that the society, old and new, put over women over the centuries. That means, pictures of all the clichés associated with us, from the little princess in pink to the business woman in suit, the women in corsets from the 18th century, the weddings in white, the woman of the 30's with the washing machine and co, but also pictures of churches, mosque, synagogues, women in veil, perruques, etc, "femme fatale" Jessica Rabbit's style, etc..... everything you can think of!
I checked online for "free of rights images", but we really can't afford to pay 100$ for each image we use... we're already taking a loan to pay for the music!!!
So what I'm asking is, would any of you be willing to let us use your picture/painting/etc... for free or almost? Of course every artist would be named in the programm of the show, as well as on the website when we put it up... Or if you can think of any other way we can reciprocate, I'll be more than happy to oblige!
Or even if you don't agree with my request (which i would totally understand!!!), if you have any idea as to where I culd find that sort of images without having to pay so much money for each one... I take every advice!!!
