reports, January 21, 2008The movie is based on true story of a French editor of "Elle" magazine. Jean Domninique Bauby suffered a stroke, that paralyzed his entire body at age 43, except his left eye. Jean-Do, was known as playboy, bon vivant, a man, who loved women, a man who lived life to the full.
How can man taste life, when he can move only one eye? There's something powerful - an imagination..
Jean-Do, using special blinking language, wrote (with a help)an incredible book - a journey to his inside world. This is a story about body, imprisoned in the diving bell and about letting free the butterfly - imagination.
An outstanding movie with amazing visual beauty, seeing with one eye.
And here's a collection of photos, remainding me of moments from this movie...
