It is a little known fact (at least to those who are not well versed in the field of giraffology) that Giraffes are one of the few organisms on that planet which are immortal. Though fortunately for giraffologists and everyday people alike Giraffes haven’t taken such drastic steps as the Unicorns (who underwent a voluntary mass suicide to stop their numbers becoming too great) and control their population with strict birth control policies. Which means there are just enough Giraffes to keep everyone happy, but not quite so many as to have a giraffe on every street corner desperately seeking acacia leaves.
