Photobucket::: How to Get Your Art Off the Site

The same general ideas expressed in this article work not only for photobucket, but for imageshack and other sites as well. The general contact information is in all trustworthy sites, and this is how you tell them to remove your art.

ALLWAYS read a terms of Service policy before signing onto a site, and make sure it protects your inormation and things like that!

IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT

Sign in. Your gallery should be presented before you. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, And in the lower right hand corner, there should be highlighted text that says "Help."

Click the highlighted blue text that says "Help".

This button should lead you to a page titled "Help Center - Tools and Tips"

You're looking for the "Terms Of Service" highlighted text. It's the frst link under "Photobucket Policies". Click that.

Next, read through the policy if you havn't already. At the bottom, above the "View our privacy policy here" and "View out copright and IP policy here" there should be a highighted bit of text that says "Contact Us."

Click "Contact Us". It should open to a page that reads "Contact Photobucket". Select what your question is about.

The email corestponding to your account should be there for you already.

Go to [link] , the Photobucket home page. In the upper right hand corner of your screen, there should be two boxes where it allows you to log in. Directly below, there is a box you can check that says "Remember Me." Beside that, a button that says "Forgot your sername or password?" Then, beside that, a button that reads "Help".

You should give a direct link to your original artwork, and the artwork stolen. Please state your name and give valid reasons backing you up.

A sample email:

Dear Those at Photobucket:

My art has been stolen by this user on your site <Give link to user>, as he/she/they have stolen <Give your original artwork link>, and uploaded it to their gallery without my permission.

This is the picture in their gallery currently: <Give link to the picture in their gallery>

Please remove this picture as soon as possible.
Thank you for your time.

<Your Full first name and last initial, and screenname is good too>
