What is Sculpture & Glass?
Defintion from deviantART Gallery Description:
Works using mediums such as clay, ceramic, synthetic sculpting compounds, glass, paper-mache, sand, and other medium.Artwork that is sculptured and is functional, or artwork that contains glass would be suitable for submission here. The sub-galleries of Sculpture and Glass are
Lights & Kaleidoscopes, Ornaments, Pots & Vases, Stained Glass, and Tableware. Keep these in mind when submitting your pieces as they may fall under one of them. (More on these categories later.)

- Lights & Kaleidoscopes -
dA Gallery Description:
Lights, kaleidoscopes, and other kinds of sculpture that makes use of active light such as a candle or lightbulb.
If your piece falls under this gallery, it should be functional for the use of its light. These kinds of sculptures can include lamps, Kaleidoscopes, etc.
- Ornaments & Paperweights -
dA Gallery Description:
Ornaments, baubles, and miscellaneous curio regardless of the medium (glass, gemstone, etc.).
Submit to this gallery is your piece is an ornament of any kind. Please keep in mind that if your piece is a Jewelry piece it belongs in this gallery: Artisan Crafts > Jewelry.
- Pots & Vases -
dA Gallery Description:
Pots, vases, or other kinds of vessels regardless of medium (pottery, glass, etc.).
Submit here if your piece is a Pot or a Vase that provides a function such as carrying water, or other liquids. If your piece is a Sculpture that does not provide a function, such as the one listed above, then it belongs in the Traditional Sculpture gallery - Traditional > Sculpture.
- Stained Glass -
dA Gallery Description:
Glassworks that are stained or colored.
A simple gallery for pieces of artwork that are glass which have been stained or colored.
- Tableware -
dA Gallery Description:
Tableware (dishes, glasses, silverware, etc.) regardless of medium (ceramics, clay, glass, etc.).
If your piece can be used to transport food, or used in the process of eating food, then it belongs in Tableware. Some examples of what belongs here are Bowls, Plates, Glasses, Silverware, Utencils, etc. If your artwork is a Sculpture then it belongs in the Traditional Sculpture gallery - Traditional > Sculpture.
I found a miscat! What do I do?
That's easy! Whenever you think you have found a miscategorization, there is one crucial thing that you need to do. Go to the deviation page, and in the Artist's Description box you will see a link titled, "Report Policy Violation" (It is located under the Picture information / Thumb code box). Go here, and click "Miscategorization" in the drop-down menu located next to the 'Type of Violation' section. In the 'Comment' section you will want to take the time to tell the Artisan Crafts Gallery Director (^
Myana) why it does not belong, and why it should be moved. Let her know a possible new home (category) for it, and any information that might be helpful to her in the process of dealing with the Miscat.
