So often, with a cup of tea in my hand and a Philly cheestake sandwich in the other, I manage to surf DA and its numerous chatrooms. When I was such a small plant here, I had nothing. As many "new" people often do, they go to the "Chat Now" or if they are teens,"teendevs" session. Many of them, refuse or are not aware of the other chats that need their support and want to open up to them as a refuge for friends and their talent. So,like others, I evolved. I managed my way around this place with many good friends and many bad ones, and many bitchy mods. So, I decided to do something good. I didn't do it alone of course....but thats the point. I found a way to share my power, the power I had, my passion for writing and literature and my ability to create it. People all over the world were given some of my power, people I haven't ever met in my life, from the most distant places. They weren't just given my power, but my strength as well, to stand up and let their voices be heard at any cost, to create and purge a piece of themselves onto paper or into a camera. Starting a movement means moving towards something better, and I did that. I started Writing Tour 08, I am the man behind that, and while many of you may think its a sham or something to small to be recognized, it isn't and will never be. I wanted to show DA, and I still do, that writing is an art too. Many people just leave it off for drawing and photography, and while those are good things to vent your expression into and put a part of yourself into, writing is something as well. People think that drawing was the first thing that humanity did to express their thoughts, emotions, and hidden thoughts, but as a major stud in the history department, I'm not afraid to say it wasn't. we got cuneiform in ancient Babylonia and the alphabet in Greece. I wanted to show people that they could meet tons of people who are random, fun and a little insane with art, as most of us are, and with Writing Tour 08, I united tons of people who acknowledged that writing was an art form, and the word I'm gonna stop using is "I" cause in the end, my family at #Trivial did it with me. With Writing Tour 08, we want writers and non-writers to actually come together and collaborate for the first time,it no longer has to be a dream. For the kid who daydreams in class about what drawing or doodle they are going to next, to the guy or gal in the library who wants so badly to write a poem that expresses how they feel but they can't because they need a spark of inspiration, we are here for them. It's not enough for me to just say that, is it? I want to show it to you, and with that comes the chat we created, Trivial, full of randomness and friendship, pure friendship and fun [link] We're showing DA, the world,and everyone else in between that we can make a difference. That we can unite people. That we don't have to be in the shadows cast by our notebooks creating any form of art, and that we can put it in the limelight and let it be seen and appreciated by all of the world. We're not just doing good, we're doing great. We need champions to support us, we need those that are afraid or feeble to abide in us, most importantly we need strength. Unlike other chats, we don't need or have strength in numbers, though is is appreciated, we have strength in actual appreciation of art and the people who create it. So, heres the time when you make a choice. What if you could be apart in our power in our mission? What if you could have your place in a movement that will change everything for the better?
