Please understand that this definition, and the rules along with it, are not made up from a few of the gallery moderator's thoughts, but built from the foundation of what the creator's words on 'vexel' were, and what the majority of the vexel community of deviantART has come to accept as a vexel. These rules are solid, final, and most-likely will not be faltered.

Please dev-watch that account and wait until the official launch, we need participants because this is going to be a great project!
I'd like for the comic community to get more involved, I see you guys get excited over things, but I don't see a lot of you participating and the rest of DA is noticing this as well.
So devwatch that, and 'The Face of 2008' Contest really needs some more comic art submissions. Show Deviantart what comic artists are made of! This is the best damn gallery on the site, be proud and participate! BOO YA!!!
I've just posted a new Comic artists tools and resources article, this would be issue 3. This issue is a large list of comic listings, hosting sites and places for printing and publishing. Have a shifty and if you know anymore, comment on the article and link them for me. I'll include them in the next article.
A comics forum, is hopefully on it's way. How soon? I have no idea, but hang tight! I'm glad you guys are starting to participate more in the chat room because I have a another comics critique night planned for the very near future!
Gather your work and get ready!!!
I've created a folder/collection in my favorites that are the best of the best that I see on DA and I limit it to a size of 5-10 deviations. I encourage you to do the same and to show me.
Also, keep an eye out in early February! I have a great contest starting! soon!

I don't think asking people to help support and spread news of AR projects is at all treating people like sheeps or soldiers, it's not like you are being lead the the slaughter. Un-devwatching once you learn the details of the project and decide you aren't interested is pretty easy, as easy as devwatching itself. The point of asking people to watch is to gauge the level of interest.
But teasers like this are fun for the community, and gets people excited.
I'm sorry you missed the point of that.

I've read elsewhere that you were saddened about people getting excited but then not following on. This kind of announcement is clearly a cause of this : aim at instant, not rational, support, so you get loose real interest.
This doesn't bring down the interest or fun of what is to come though, so don't be upset. And please no argument, that was just some philosophical thoughts, not a trial on your initiative.

You'll note that where I posted that statement, it's next to a contest thats clearly laid out and explained. These teasers are only on larger projects.
I'm not arguing anything, I'm just saying I don't care for these kinds of sour grapes.
Let other people have fun, if you don't want to join in then ignore it. Thats all I'm saying.

I never demanded anything, I only asked, is that really such a horrible thing?
I don't think I deserve this kind of negativity, when I have done nothing but attempt to be helpful and serve the comics community only to be attacked with these pointless bitter statements.
