Alright, so welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs, the little set of features highlighting the best in DD-worthy artwork (
NOTE: Your definition of "best" may vary)!
And so we begin this week with the last plug I'll have to do for the
Mini-DDs Best Of 2007 Extravaganza...Seriously, go check it out already if you haven't!
Speaking of which, I had to note some news concerning the whole contest(s) going on behind it. First off, I'd like to remind all of you that the deadline for voting on your favorites is the 31st, so you only have about
four days to get your shots in before it all ends. So if you want a shot at a year's subscriptions or just want to honor you favorite artists & Deviations, then you'd better do it soon!
Second - & more important - I'd like to note that the announcement of the winners
will no longer be taking place on the first of February as originally planned. Why, you may ask? Well, aside from the fact that I have some big (& secret) plans for the end of it all that I need to prepare, I also have a few ties that are going to need to be settled, so I'm going to ask a third party for help with this.
So because of that, the winners will now just be announced in early February instead of the first (no set date has been set yet). But don't worry...If everything goes off as planned, it'll be worth the wait!
But enough of that for now. Let's get on with this week's shebang already!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:

...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And this week we'll throw some of that "whipped" peanut butter from the new Reese's candy bar into the mix as well (trust me, it's good)!
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...

Yeah, ~
mosskat may have just gotten a DD about a few weeks ago, but
Mosskat A la Bang Bang was just too awesome too resist. Sultry, badass, fun, stylish, has a wicked character, chock full of detail (love the outfit), &...Well, there's not much else to say. It's just 100% cool all around, & truly stands out as an excellent Anthro piece (Plus it kind of gets thinking of M.I.A. songs, so bonus points there).

*
j3concepts gives us all a nice twist on classic cartoon villains with
Count Pseudo, thanks to a cool & innovative style, a unique character design, a sweet mix of colors, & the simple yet chaotic feeling to it all. Completely fun & a little bit hypnotic, this is one sweet Deviation that'll have you begging for more of this lovable badass.

Ahh, there's nothing that cheers me up better then seeing a well-done splash of colorful & psychedelic chaos, & that's exactly what
Finished Collab with Firemane by ~
photoshop-addict28 &, well, *
Firemane delivers. Now I be sounding like a gum commercial when I say this, but this is one Deviation with such a sweet explosion of flavor, unique designs, & a sweet mix of styles that there's no reason for you to love this.

First off, I dare you not to go "Awww" & laugh a little bit the second you see
Ammy, the little gardener by *
MacGreen. Second, make sure not to forget about all of the other things that make this a wicked drawing, such as a cool style, a great color scheme, & a nice amount of detail right down to the fur & the outfit. And third, why haven't you faved this yet? Do it already!
Sock Ghost by *
sketch-m once again proves that a simple drawing of a lovable character design is all that you really need to create something memorable. Everything here from the concept to the pose to the style to the little bits of detail right down to the third leg (Which the artist assures us is just a thid leg, so minds out of the gutter) works perfectly together to shaowcase one fun & cool creation that deserves all the attention it can get.
UTurnMyWorldUpsideDown by =
GraphicStreetRacer is...Well...Frankly, the title says it all. Featuring a huge explosion of trippy & surrealistic elements, a perfect use of dark colors & textures, & an excellent layout with several cool & hypnotic details spread out in every little corner, this is one cool & mesmerizing Deviation that easily deserves a spot in your Favourites.

About thirty seconds after I saw what the *
Bandsonas project was all about, I just new I had to honor such a cool & unique concept. And
-The Drug You Can't Deny- by *
Phoenix-Pinion was the perfect piece to do it with, thanks to a sleek & cool character, a nice style, a sweet color scheme, a nice amount of detail, & of course, love for the source material. Now make sure to go & check out the other bandsonas for more cool stuff like this!

*
zimeta08 has quite the love for fresh & unique character designs, which can easily be seen in her own creations such as
Strange Artist. The innovative character design alone would've made for something classic (of course), but a cool style, a great color scheme, & sweet little details such as the writing on the wall make for one nice & memorable piece fo work.

Madness! Chaos in the streets! Splatters of neon colors! Those are just a few things you can use to describe
Think-GZ by ~
emi-Chen, a lovable piece of Vector work that perfect blends city imagery with explosions of gloriously vibrant insanity & several simple & funky little designs to create one eye-popping & wicked piece fo work that is definitely not to be missed out on.
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
