The Ferris wheel is the largest part of the carnival, and an American expression of freedom. The Ferris Wheel was introduced to the world at the World's Colombian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago. It was built to rival the Paris creation of the Eiffel Tower.
Now Ferris Wheel has become in a way or another a symbol of the "circle of life."
It may represent the ups and downs of life that create the total life experience. The circle is one of the most important dream symbols. It points to the center of personality and our being that in turn brings up issues of completeness and wholeness in our lives. Since the Ferris wheel is associated with fun and excitement, this dream may be an encouragement for the dreamer to "lighten up," see the larger picture, and possibly develop a more positive attitude.
Life is a carnival and there's no carnival without the Ferris Wheel
Here are a few representative images of the Ferris Wheel:
And my Ferris Wheel
Spinning and riding fast are two chaos images often associated with carnivals. Ferris wheels reflect times to remove oneself from the midway to a quieter perspective, unless one is afraid of heights. In what way are the rides metaphors for your life? In other words, how is your life like a rollercoaster, merry-go-round, or other central feature of the park?
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
