FEATURED DEVIANTS FEBRUARY 08

*damnLit:icondamnLit: reports, February 1
:plotting:FEATURED DEVIANTS FEBRUARY 08
(AND SOME MORE FEBRUARY MADNESS)
:plotting:

It gives me great pleasure to announce the first three Featured Deviants for this year of 2008. It was an interesting process going through all of your suggestions and slowly eliminating the entries and possibilities for various reasons. *damnLit would like to thank you all for your enthusiasm and encourages you to keep submitting suggestions for Featured Deviants.

So enough talk, your Featured Deviants for February 2008 are:

:excited:Featured Community Service Deviant - `Beccalicious

`Beccalicious is a rising literary force to be reckoned with conceptualising and managing her own creation, Hot Lits; where she collects and correlates interesting writings from the gallery here on dA. They are then submitted to the viewing public for enjoyment. This contribution also benefits the writers she reviews, building their confidence and exposing little known talent to the wider lit community.
The busy Bec does not rest on these challenging laurels however, her interest extends to staffing some of the most exciting literature projects available, having just completed a workshop on the fantastic *Writers-Workshop, "What's in a name? "
Her staff positions and contributions include, =DailyDeviants, *WordCount, *Writers-Workshop and *damnLit.

Becca is a talented writer, avid script sorceress and killer critique. Without her endless energy, staggering contributions and friendly demeanor; our little lit world would be at a detriment. Her commitment to creating a better dA lit world is only matched by her enthusiasm.

:excited:Featured Multi-faceted Deviant -*dgregory

*dgregory is renowned for his critique and interactive community profile and yet, he only appears sporadically over time. Perhaps this is a mark of his impact as a writer and critique, with his crisp poetry and experimental prose that has earnt him several placings in recognised dA competitions. His critiques are swift, thoughtful and insightful, offering the author a new perspective on their piece that does not deprecate or pander to over encouragement.

"His involvement in the community, both as a critique and as a friendly face serves to strengthen dA."
Suggestion made by *Amberlouie

:excited:Featured developing Deviant - *tetemeko

It was hard to make a choice between *tetemeko and the other offerings presented by you fine people but A Simple Love Story sealed the deal. This piece captures *tetemeko's potential perfectly, offering simply stated details and imagery that is photogenic to the imagination. It has a simple elegance for a seemingly simple situation in which the audience becomes strangely intrigued; sometimes the simple things make the best snippets of prose.

"Each of *tetemeko's pieces seems like a piece of a larger work, whether it is or not, and reading them is like seeing one tile, beautiful in itself, from a complex mosiac, perhaps Tetemeko's entire work itself. Not overly polished, nor dolled up for an audience, *tetemeko's texts give us a glimpse into a writer's creative thoughts."
