reports, February 1, 2008Possibly one of the most beautiful items of clothing; the kimono.
It wasn't until the Meiji era in Japan that the word ki-mono was actually used to describe Japanese clothing and it simply means "thing to wear".
I've had a fascination for all eras of Japanese clothing for sometime, but didn't realise quite how popular and diverse an item it could be in the Artisan Crafts galleries on DeviantArt!
