jeez...as the former owner of an xti with the exposure bug, i'd like to ask canon how many bottles of gin their qc guys go through in a day. i'm giving nikon a shot when i go back to dslr...or i'll just stick with film.

Darned Canon QC... they're losing customers because of it.

I can't count the number of people who got frustrated and switched over to the fabulous D3.

Today I just read of a guy who got frustrated with the 1D Mk3, and bought a 1Ds Mk3 instead. He spent $8k on it! Guess what.... he returned it because of a viewfinder mis-alignment.

I think the 1D Mk3 was rushed to the market...

I think the MK III was rushed indeed to be on the market before the D3, while watching the candidate debates in the USA I saw quite a lot of PJ's with D3 and D300 cameras, of course there are some who can't wait for Canon to pull their act together, so they obviously switched.

Nikon has been offering test drives of the D3 in the UK and with the option of purchase of their gear at good prices.

Ouch... I feel sorry for anyone that bought one... or two...

apparently a few out of the first few batches did...mine was really bad, but now i have a camera i love. keep up the good work.
