Today's article may come as a bit of a surprise, given that the club posted one yesterday. Nevertheless, here's another one. Please let me advise that faving this news article will increase the chances of it being seen, and therefore increase the chances of the deviations within it being seen. I (~mrjans) contributed all of these deviations, so I hope you enjoy. ;)

Art theft is never fun...

=-kitsune-:icon-kitsune-: reports, February 3, 2008
[link]

This is just a heads up. There are one hundred and seventy three deviations in this gallery, all of which are stolen. Some are having prints of them sold.

Please, go through this gallery. If you specialize mainly in Naruto works, I encourage you to check through this and ensure that none of these images are yours. If you know the artist, please inform them.

Art theft is never fun and I speak from experience (not much, but it happened twice) when I say that it hurts to see someone taking credit for works that are yours. Please help to put a stop to it.

As a side note, a petition has been started to ask PhotoBucket to start helping to crack down on art theft. To read the full petition and gather more information, or to sign it, please go here.

Instead of making a news article, why don't you report him instead?

Or at least notify some of the people who's art you know is stolen.

I have, but there's just too much, and I don't know all of the artists. That's why I'm asking for help.

Plus, the Photobucket petition is a good thing to get out there :3

Yaoi is totally the fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. No one ever hears about him because he's always off riding the sixth Horseman. ಠ◡ಠ

That's good. I've reported a couple of the art's I know as well.

Online petitions have no legal standing. They make a good way to show that a large amount of people are on board with something, but you can't do anything with an online petition. They are basically worthless.

Ah well... every little bit helps, I suppose.

It bothers me to hell to see this happening to people with such talent!

I agree. But part of me is glad that people don't like my art enough to steal it. But I feel for the people who've had their art stolen. There's been a lot of art theft going around lately. What happened to the good 'ole days where you just saved the pictures you liked to your computer and then printed them out to put in your binder. . . I miss those days.

Oh, I remember doing that *sigh* Junior high was fun because of that. All my friends and I would compare pictures. I still do it. It's a good way to have an art reference as well, for poses, clothes, etc.

*hugs binder* I love my binder u.u

It really was. I still have that large binder of anime art. And it inspired me to draw my own. That binder helped me through many bad times [some good too].

Lol, my friends and I would swap binders and put new pics in them. It was a fun way to spend the weekend. Come back on Monday and you never knew how your binder would have grown.

I never had friends into anime, so it was just me and my binder. I was the weird, silent, brainy kid in the corner. You know, that over-weight one. Yeah. That was me.

I just read your sig. It made me lol.
