DamirSoull seem happy to of won, hehe, so now it is time to move on and give some more people a chance to win.
Last month 6 entries had to be removed from the running because they broke the competition rules. We let them slip on competition one (All about me) but now they are being enforced, so read ALL of the rules. They are in a scroll box to keep my journal tidy, not to be ignored!!
The subject for the next contest is also in the scroll boxes, to make sure you read everything!
Good luck!
Please do not post your entry links here, as I worry I will miss some, send me a note! I will comment 'thanks for entering' once your entered (it may take a few days)
Check out each others work! Thats the point! To bring us all together in a big poetry puddle of love.. or something..
General Information:
You can win a three month deviant art subscription! First and Second place both get a 3 month sub and 3rd place gets a sneaky sample, a one month DA sub! For free! All you have to do is write a poem about the subject..
All I want you to do is write your poem about the theme (an original piece only, and a NEW piece, not already posted on DA) before the deadline, submit it to DA, then drop me a note or comment linking to it. I will comment on your poem and add it to the 'entry' list. In return please link to me on your journal and in the poems 'artists comments' so others can enter. ( : devflutterings : or : iconflutterings : without the spaces is fine )
If you want to be a judge in this competition (so no one accuses me of being biased I'd like to have more than one!) just drop me a note or comment and I will let you know if I think you'd be good at it!
So this month, for the THIRD Flutterings Poetry competition, the theme is...
TOKENS
Okay, so this may seem like an odd topic, tokens?? But what I mean by this is items or trinkets that remind of things, places, people.. it is Valentines Day this month but not everyone is pleased about that, the subject of tokens can leave you to write about good or bad memories, or something completely different, without any v-day blues...
It should be clear in your poem what item is the token, even if it is unclear what the item actually is.
You can interpret this any way you like other than that, have fun with it.
The deadline is 11am Febuary 22nd 2008
