Hey, I was there but I didn't see you around your display so I will give you some feedback here, I hope you don't mind!

I liked your masks... the gas masks especially. The colourful finishes you put on them are great, I like all the details, I would explore that more maybe... think of the way they are now as a small seed that has just opened up and begun to grow into a tree... you could build a more specific context for each piece and that might suggest new materials and modifications. Maybe work with adding other functions for the masks... like more head coverings/ armor, lights, communications devices... weapons... maybe look at the idea of masks differently and building more than just a face covering? just tossing out ideas!

I'm sure you have a ton, I just like brainstorming. Where do you see your art going?

Porkshanks, I like your ideas. This is not a space for a critique however.

Besides- if I did all that, my stuff would start bearing a disturbing resemblance to... yours. Let my art be my art- you want to make art to go with mine? Fine. Go for it.

I came to your show to see your work, even though I am constantly in pain because of a traffic accident I will never recover from, and this is how a friendly opinion is treated? I'm just curious; if you didn't want feedback from other people, why did you post an ad for the show?

I have no problem whatsoever with feedback or critiques- it's where you decided to place it. Properly it should have been in a note, or on a piece from the the show itself. Or you could've actually gone back to the bar, said hi and talked to me.

As for the in pain argument, if you feel incapable of attending events without playing people for guilt or sympathy, then do not attend them.
