Works that stretch the notion of what a portrait is these days. If you like what you see, please support the artists who created these beautiful portraits by faving and commenting on their works!
A sampling of dark (not morbid) artworks I have discovered on DA. Please support the artists that created these wonderful pieces by faving and commenting on their works!

Let me copy/paste my old explanation about the idea:
Weekly Deviation is the way that I found to show in my journal great images from great artist with few visit.
Explain: many people only see the "big" artists on DA. That's impossible in one day an image received 1000, 10000 views and others just 2, 40 views.
Yes, I know, exist some groups to show images as Unknown Artists, but I also want to help.
I hope that you like. Every week I change the images in my journal. ____________________ So, here I go:
This week: 60 images.
- Thanks my friend: =NadezhdaVasile for suggestions. - Journal link: [link] ____________________
P.S.: I don't feature the artist, I feature the image. So, sometimes, you will find two or three images from the same artist just because I really liked it and I think the images deserve to be featured.
Devious Technology is very proud to announce one of deviantARTs most highly anticipated projects Portfolio: The Awesome Version!! Portfolio is the simplest and most professional tool on the Internet for formal presentation and review of artwork, and the best part is: it's available to everyone for FREE!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.
