We all love colours in the nature, at least those of us that can actually see them. Human eye, if containing all the necessary light detecting cells should have on type of receptors for brightness, but also three types of colour receptors: red, green and blue. Some of us, and I have male relatives included in this group, can't see all the colours or none of them as they lack such receptors or respective pigments. Also, before colour photography was "invented", we must have used our imagination to know what the author really saw. Can we still do it, and how do those people who can't see colours feel about this world? My uncle, who can't see orange and green, learned as a kid how to distinguish them although he could not really see them. He worked his whole life in the industry of dyes, paints and pigments, controlling quality of all the paints and dyes that company produced. No one really knew he could not see colours. Some animals also are colour blind including some mammals, which I guess many of you did not know, and some see different spectrum than we do.
There is a nice club here on dA, not dedicated only to nature photography, but to black and white photography in general, so if you wish to check them out, click on

But why saying all this. Today I wish to present you some black and white nature photos. For some of them, you might say colour or no colour you can't tell the difference, but for some other
can you see them in colour, can you imagine RGB spectrum in them? And does it really matter so much?
Enjoy.

I have some in my gallery too, do you?

She's a puppet turned to queen
She's the harlot of the holy
Only angels hear her sing
