Hello all you deviants out there!

We would like to announce our new club, called =GimmeFeedback. We are dedicated to helping our members learn and grow as artists. It can be difficult to garner meaningful feedback for the hours of work you put into your art; that's where we come in!

We welcome members of all backgrounds and disciplines, from traditional artists to photographers to digital artists and even writers. We are also looking for members of all levels of experience, from beginners to intermediate artists to experienced professionals. Think your art is better than most? Great! We would love to have you support our members who could benefit from receiving feedback.

We are also proud to sponsor our first contest, to be called the Before and After competition! This contest will be open to ALL members of =GimmeFeedback, regardless of the type of art you create. The idea for the contest is to see who incorporates the feedback they receive into their creations most effectively. For example, if someone critiques your lighting, this competition will see how well you re-do the deviation to incorporate this critique. Likewise, for you literature buffs, if someone says your character is not strong enough, you can incorporate that feedback to make your characters stronger. The contest will NOT judge how skilled you are, but rather how well you have used the feedback you get.

Your task: This contest has three parts. To enter, you must submit the following items in a single note:
(1) a THUMBNAIL for an original deviation that has been submitted to =GimmeFeedback,
(2) an example of a critique you received in response to your deviation, including the name of the deviant who submitted that feedback, and
(3) a thumbnail for a SECOND (submitted separately, not re-submitted as an edit) deviation incorporating that feedback.

Other rules and guidelines:
- You must be a member of =GimmeFeedback.
- You can enter as many times as you like.
- Please send your submissions in a note with the title "Contest submission."

Deadline: Apri 15, 2008

Judges: To be determined.

Prizes:
1st Place: 1-year subscription from the club!
2nd Place: 3-month subscription from *Lechtonen

Other prize donations are welcome; we welcome everything from prints to subscriptions to journal features, and more. Please note us if you would like to donate.
