Weekly Help Desk Updates - February 15th, 2008Introduction
Welcome to the weekly Help Desk Updates. In these weekly updates we will attempt to bring you the most up to date news concerning the Help Desk & FAQ, as well as provide some helpful hints for super duper deviantART fun.
Important Notice
Please note there will be no Weekly Help Desk Updates posted on Feburary 22nd and 29th, as I ($
hexentanz) will be away from my home location. Updates will resume on March 7th.
Hexe's Corner
Today we released the Collections FAQ, if you have not already taken a gander at it you can do so by

More new FAQ entries will pop up over the weekend so keep an eye out!

Have you ever had a hard time trying to figure out how to explain in a
Help Desk Ticket exactly what you are seeing? As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so if you are having a hard time explaining an issue that is going on you might want to try taking a
screenshot to help your inquiry.
So when should you use a screenshot in your
Help Desk Ticket? The best time to use a screenshot is when you notice something is not right with the appearance of deviantART such as missing buttons, errors, alignment issues, image and text issues, or anything else that you can visually see that is causing a problem.
After you have taken a screenshot of the issue the best way to show the screenshot to the
Help Desk is to submit it to your
scraps and place a
link to the scrap in your ticket. You can also email the screenshot to the administrator that is helping you. In order to do this stick their username in front of @deviantart.com so if I'm helping you that's ewm@deviantart.com.

Please keep in mind that if you are sending a scrap link that you link us to the deviation and not use thumb linking as this feature is not enabled in the
Help Desk. If you email your screenshot be sure to include your case id# of your inquiry and your username in the subject line so we can help you further in your ticket once we have your screenshot. Last thing to keep in mind is please do not size or crop your screenshots down. If you send us a screenshot that is really tiny we won't be able to see what is going on or if you crop your screenshot down we might be missing something important that could potentially help to solve your issue.
By sending a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing it will help us know exactly what your issue is by physically seeing rather than having to ask numerous questions concerning your issue so we can figure out what is occurring. In turn, this will help speed up the time it will take to solve the situation you are experiencing.

Ahnoes! I think I might have broke dA. It's loading funny on my browser; all white and everything is displayed in a long list on my page. What happened, Jenn?!Take a deep breath, little deviant. Usually this happens when your browser fails to load dA's CSS file. That would be our soothing green-gray colored background and eye-pleasing buttons. Sometimes the fix is as simple as a hard refresh. Do to this hold down Ctrl + F5. Your page will reload and all should be well! In the worst cases your browser will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled (just for Firefox).
If none of these tips fix the problem you may want to call your Internet Service Provider, as there can be a routing issue to one of our servers. And, as always, if you have been up and down our +
faq and still can't find the answer please don't hesitate to write the
Help Desk. We three awesome bug zapping frogettes will work to solve your case as quickly as possible.
Weekly Tip
I heard deviantART prohibits the submission of pornographic material. Is this true? Yes. To read more information on what deviantART considers these materials to be, please

You might want to update again the faq18, adding a newline in the middle of "Literature - ^StJoan Manga/Anime ^azarath"...
The faq3 is interesting, I didn't know there was such limitation. I see you started to recycle old FAQ numbers...
