Most of us have always wondered what are the things that attract the most people to the internet. Some people say games. Other people say social pages. Heck, some would even say porn.

But happy news is that Art should be on that list as well.

Browsing recently through the alexa index, I found the really nice surprise that Deviant Art is number 35th on the list of the most visited sited od the United States, higher than the Bank of America, Imageshack, Gamespot and even the homepage of World of Warcraft! This is refreshing news indeed. It gives a hint that at least people is interested on what other people do, other than empty chat. Of course, myspace and facebook are still top of the list, but those are inconsequential pages in my book. However, thanks to the extremely well managed balance dArt has struck in social matters, as well as artistic display and other cool things like forums and merchandise, we can say that the artistic community has gained a strong foot on the intarwebz.

So, I tip my hat to you dArt. Keep showing the web whose an artist... and whose a deviant.
