Dear friends, In the animated atmosphere of gradually growing Vietnamese comics in the year 2009, I feel so surprised and hopeful about our comics in the future. The reason is that many young artists appear and show off their talents - That is everyone's long-awaited pride. Along with GreenFarm, Manzin and the forthcoming Truyện Tranh Việt Online, Vietnamese comics is believed to be better and move to a higher phase.
Therefore, in order to warm up the air as well as to creat an interesting and realistic activity for all young artists, basing on the idea of Kaboom Ink on DeviantART, =Clap-san and I really hope to lauch a campaign:
I wish and believe that this artbook will be supported by all of you. Lets show to the international friends the joy and unity of our Vietnamese-comics community! ^_^

As a part of the sculpture week on Deviant Art hosted by I decided to post a selection of wonderful sculptures from Traditional Art -> Sculpture gallery.
A sculpture for me is quite amazing because one manages to create in all 3 dimensions, it has volume, it is tangible, it speaks. A sculpture can be made out of many different materials as the selection below shows. A person creating a sculpture is called a sculptor.
Some common types of sculpture:
relief - a sculpture attached to background free standing - a sculpture that has a base and can be viewed from all sides mobile - a sculpture that has motion, kinetic sculpture that takes advantage of equilibrium jewlery - a wearable piece of art statue - a free standing sculpture depicting a person or animal bust - 3 dimensional representation of the person from chest up
Things that should not go to traditional art -> sculpture gallery: - photos of someone else's sculptures - photos of yourself - digitally created works - heavily digitally altered works
Please give these awesome artists some of your deviant love and wish them a Happy Sculpture Week

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
DaVinci, Picasso, Monet... these are all names I'm sure you've heard of before. They are the Masters of the art world and their talents are world renowned. But have you ever looked at their pieces and thought to yourself "I could do better" or "that would look awesome in a comic style"? Well here's your chance. How would you have painted DaVinci's Mona Lisa? Show me using only Vectors.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
