reports, February 18Recently I've become disheartened with the amount of softcore porn and snapshots which fill the Artistic Nude gallery of deviantART, pushing many "worthy" submissions deep into the wilderness, never to be found or admired by any.
Rather than pointing out specific works which in my opinion have no place in deviantART's Artistic Nude gallery, which is not my style (and which would probably get me a ban in the process besides), I've decided to post this news article featuring 20 deviations from this gallery that I think put the "Art" in Artistic Nudes.
Before you all flood me with notes calling me a prude, or art-nazi, I'd like to state for the record that I like skin as much as the next man or woman, but there's a place for this and that place is not on deviantART. Just because you have a camera, a body and an ability to convert to black & white does not make you an artist.
So without any more ado, I present to you some Artistic nudes:
