`SparrowSong on writing, critique and her passions

^lovetodeviate:iconlovetodeviate: reports, September 28
An interview with writer, critic (critiquer?), lit senior, `SparrowSong. Here are some tidbits:

“I like that my passions change. If nothing else, it gives me more to write about.”

“Everyone has heard the expression, ‘Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.’ If you don’t learn to critique, you will always be dependent on others to help you instead of being able to do it by yourself.”

“Art changes how we view the surface of the world to reveal truth or beauty—or both—underneath.”

To all visual poets... Step in here!

~AlexDewain:iconAlexDewain: reports, February 19
On February 4, 2008, a new community was born. A place where words are just... not enough. A place where words and images are together, as earth and sky.

Allow me to introduce you :devDracheraserai:'s creation: the Visual Poetry Club, ~Visual-Poetry-Club.

I was invited to this newly-founded community by Michelle (*VisualPoetress), an old friend here at dA. As soon as I came in, I was content to be part of this group. I was glad when I learned that the club was rapidly growing, and it keeps growing until today.

So, if you're a Visual Poet, or as we say, you like your poem with an image, you're welcome to join us!

How do I join?

If you would like to be a member of our club, please do the following:

:bulletred:Send the club or to =AlexDewain a note titled "Join".
:bulletblue:Add the club's icon, link, or stamp to your signature or journal.
:bulletred:Watch the club. This way, you can see other member's work as it gets posted.

We will notify you when you have been added! We also watch our members after you have joined, so if we accidentally forget to notify you, just look for a watch from the club. :)

Now, it's a pleasure to show you some of the awesome works that have been posted by our members and myself in ~Visual-Poetry-Club.

Hope to you see you around the club!

Cheers,
Joel Alejandro
