Only members can enter the contest!!! To enter the contest you need the following:

- You can send only ONE pic;
- Moths and skippers are acceptable too;
- To send your entry, just send us a note with the name "contest", and on the body, put your link or thumb of the pic;
- The picture DON'T NEED already submited in the club gallery;
- Photos with little manipulations are accept;
- Send your entry until February 24th!!

This competition is to celebrate the launch of our new club.*Le-Visage (which opens formally TODAY), having been created as a means to celebrate the face in every shape or form; whether it be old, young, beautiful, ugly, distorted, transcendent. Represented by all mediums, traditional art, digital art, photographic, sculptural, artisan crafts and literature etc.

The competition is to create a piece of art either visual or using the written word that celebrates the Face of 2008, and in a way that encapsulates and portrays the face within a contemporary context, e.g. THE FACE OF 2008.

There will be a winner for each category, and just ONE overall Competition Winner.

READ THE RULES
1. ONLY club members may enter.
2. Only ONE entry per category.
3. Submissions cannot be any older or have been submitted prior to December 16th.
4. Only mediums are acceptable as according to the cateogories below. We will not accept as entries, emotes, avatars, icons.
5. No depictions of mutilation in any shape or form, though macabre is accetable.
6. No art that depicts racims, sexism or xenophobia in any shape or form.
7. Entries MUST be your own work.
8. Entries using stock, brushes or textures must include credits/links to the original artists.
9. To submit your entry please sent a note to the club entitled 'Contest Entry'. Submissions will ONLY be accepted using this format. Also, REMEMBER to include a line in your note stating that you give the club permission to display the deviation in the members gallery, as entries will be uploaded to a sub category of the gallery.
10. Contest runs from January 1st 2008 to February 29th 24.00 GMT .






March Contest - Easter! from 25th February to 15th March

Rules

The main color of art should be yellow or gold
Chose of kind of art is free: photography, digital art, drawing etc.
The art should be about Easter, so there must be symbols of Easter on the pictures, for example: Easter eggs, chicken, bunny, flowers...

One deviation can be submitted! - You send me a note with the subject "contest"

The art must have been submited to your gallery after 20th February

3 most beautiful pictures will be expose in journal and the winner's picture will be expose in "featured deviation" of YellowClub!






Red Contest!!!

Because it's Valentine's Day in just a couple of days time, we thought it would be a great idea to make a Red Contest.

What are the rules?

1) Pictures must show the colour red in any form...a red rose, etc.
2) Pictures must be close-ups.
3) Only one picture per member is allowed.
4) You can submit old pictures, you don't have to take a new red picture...not necessarily
5) Deadline is March 3rd, 2008

Please send us a note with a thumb of your picture. After the deadline passed by, we have a poll vote. You do have to vote if you want to win the contest. Everyone can vote only once.





Contest
We're holding a contest at the moment! What's your feeling with conceptual art? Do you expres yourself with it, or just a tought what you get with an object?
Make a pic about secrets, hidden secrets, secrets you keep, love for secrets, how to come at the solution, it don't matter what, if the theme is secrets it is okay. Tell us your concept and win!

Mini Contest - Pageviews Contest!
Inspired by the *SkyAndNatureClub contest, we will be permanently holding mini pageview contests!

The next pageview is 4000!

If you are our 4000th pageview, take a print screen and show us, and we will feature some of your work in our journal





Wild Animal Portraits Contest!
We will accept portraits of animals in zoos or conservatories, this can include reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians, and insects. The animal must be the focal point of the photo, if your shot does not qualify you can try again.

Please send your entries in by Thursday, March 7th and voting will commence shortly after. Entries cannot be older than November 2007 and 1 entry per member.





This month's challenge contest: The anti-cliche competition! Your job is to create a deviation using a cliche in some way, but make it so it is not cliche. For instance, find a new way to use "that" black skirt (for photomanipulators) or to do something unique with clouds or water droplets or the ring in a book photo (for photographers)... to whatever you can come up with! The idea is to think outside the box and make something that has SO BEEN DONE be presented in a completely new way. What do you think?

Rules:

1.) You must use at least one "cliche" element in a way that is NOT cliche;
2.) You can submit as many deviations as you like;
3.) Deviations must be less than 3 months old (we would prefer that they be created for the competition, but it's OK if they were recent deviations that were created for another purpose);
4.) You must be a member of Be Unique to enter; and
5.) Send your entries in a note with the title "Contest Submission." (If you also want it placed in the club gallery, that's fine, but please send us a separate submission note for that purpose so we don't get confused!)

Deadline: February 21st, 2008

Judges: The whole group! We will hold a one-week vote to see which deviation will win the competition.

Prize: A 3-month subscription from the club.




We are proud to sponsor our first contest, to be called the Before and After competition! This contest will be open to ALL members of =GimmeFeedback, regardless of the type of art you create. The idea for the contest is to see who incorporates the feedback they receive into their creations most effectively. For example, if someone critiques your lighting, this competition will see how well you re-do the deviation to incorporate this critique. Likewise, for you literature buffs, if someone says your character is not strong enough, you can incorporate that feedback to make your characters stronger. The contest will NOT judge how skilled you are, but rather how well you have used the feedback you get.

Your task: This contest has three parts. To enter, you must submit the following items in a single note:
(1) a THUMBNAIL for an original deviation that has been submitted to =GimmeFeedback,
(2) an example of a critique you received in response to your deviation, including the name of the deviant who submitted that feedback, and
(3) a thumbnail for a SECOND (submitted separately, not re-submitted as an edit) deviation incorporating that feedback.

Other rules and guidelines:
- You must be a member of =GimmeFeedback.
- You can enter as many times as you like.
- Please send your submissions in a note with the title "Contest submission."

Deadline: Apri 15, 2008

Judges: The entire group! We will decide the winner via group poll.
