Fast approaching is a day that advocates for mental health patients, bringing light in today's day and age with lack of education and awareness to something so plaguing.
James Nachtway is one of the preeminant news photographers of our time. I count him among my greatest inspirations as a photographer. He has been awarded the 2007 TED Prize, and as part of the award he has voiced his desire to advance the art of photojournalism.
Nachtway will break a vital story on October 3rd. Watch and listen!
well in my yahoo mail box i signed up for newletters on whats happing to the wolves in yellowstone
The Bush administration is going to take off permits to keep wolves safe in idoha and Yellowstone!
yes yes this sounds very fake but please help me help the wolves and call this number with me and deliver this message!
1-800-344-WILD (9453)
My name is (your full name) and Im calling from (were you live like NY NY ) I understand that the federal government may remove wolves in the Greater Yellowstone and Central Idaho regions tomorrow from the list of federally protected threatened and endangered species.
I want your department to know that I strongly oppose the weakening of protections for these wolves and expect you to fulfill your obligation to secure a lasting future in the Northern Rockies for these amazing animals.
The wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains have significantly exceeded the population numbers needed to de-list, and has done so since 2002. These numbers are the legal requirement (written into the wolf recovery plan at re-introduction 13yrs ago) to de-list the wolf in this area. The action taken has no bearing on which administration is in place, but rather the way the law is written.
Now it's time for September 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not. Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough
And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!
`arcipello's artwork is instantly recognisable. His vibrant colours and sci-fi scenes are breathtaking at times, pulling you into a world where man and machine live in colourful harmony.
An inspiration to many, Daniel's dedication to his craft is evident throughout his gallery, with many of his beautiful prints hanging on walls across the globe. In recognition as being one of the most successful artists in our deviantART community, we're delighted to award this month's Deviousness Award to `arcipelloRead More
