The issue #34 of the Hugi diskmag is out now and is titled
Hugi #34 - World of Scene. It was released just moments ago at the
Oxyron Party in Germany. As always, this issue contains hundreds of kilobytes of articles (worth several books!) in addition to great graphics and music. Included are a news corner, reports from demoparties, columns, artist interviews, demo reviews, literature, tutorials, a list of art and programming related contests and much more. Several Deviants have contributed material to this issue, including *
diamondie and *
obenson.
To give some background for the puzzled reader,
diskmags are electronic magazines, published in executable format containing an interface with graphics and background music. Like the name suggests, diskmags were originally spread on floppy disks. Nowadays you can just download them, naturally free of cost. Diskmags used to be exclusive to the
demoscene, publishing news, charts, interviews and reports, but these days they often contain articles about other interesting subjects and even literature.
The Hugi diskmag has readers and contributors from all over the world. Each issue is even translated into Russian. The first issue of the magazine was released back in 1996. I have been a part of the editorial team since 2001. Everyone is welcome to contribute material - yes, that goes for you too, if you're interested in having your writing read by thousands of people. Everything will be proofread, so you don't have to worry about imperfect English skills or fumbling fingers.

Download Hugi #34Hugi should work on Windows and Linux, probably on Mac too if you have a Windows emulator. In case you don't want to or cannot download anything, the contents will be available for viewing on the Hugi website soon, probably next week.

Some are rich because they have love
I was poor.
Now I am found by the source of all riches.
