So =ssecret, =gabbachoo and I have decided to host a photography contest. The theme is:

BEAUTY IN UNEXPECTED PLACES

RULES

Submission must be a new photograph taken in 2008. Remember, you must have taken this photograph, not just modeled in it. Yes self portraits are allowed, but only if you set up the camera and took the photo (or used self timer)

Send your submissions to `Doubtful-Della in a note with the subject "Contest Entry". All entries will be collected in a journal and linked here.

Deviations must be submitted in the proper DA gallery or they will be disqualified

Deadline: February 29th 2008 12:00 Midnight EST. Winners to be announced soon thereafter.

You are allowed up to 2 submissions. You may either have one submission in the form of a diptych (two photos put together either vertically or horizontally) or two separate deviations from two different shoots/themes.

In your description you must note that this is an entry for our contest and either link to our journal or NEWS article

Digital image adjustments are allowed like colors, textures, burning, dodging, levels, curves, blemish removal, healing tool etc. The liquefy and other filter options are allowed, but please keep it to a minimal. All image edits must be stated, and actions/textures used must be disclosed in the description.

Digital image manipulation like the removing and additions of whole objects is not allowed. We don't want images that look like paintings or manipulations; we want the images to be photographs.
