Ok, so that you all don't think that we have died and are wasting away somewhere in an art ghetto, here is a tidbit for you all to mull over. I recently (this evening

) went to the Fractal area of the Print Shop to browse around a bit, and here is what I wrote in my journal regarding my visit:
"I want to draw your attention to the Fractal area of the dA print shop. This is one way that all of you new and senior fractalists alike can get a good glimpse at what is popular and selling; if that is something you are interested in. I decided to go myself, and take a gander at what has been popular in the fractal area of the print shop, mostly to determine if it appeared that I could have what it takes to maybe and eventually sell some of my pieces here on deviantART. To my amazement, and sure enough, I do have quite a few pieces that quite possibly could fetch me some cold hard cash one of these days, not only of my fractals but of my photography as well. As you can imagine, this was very gratifying to know; that as an artist that usually does this for the pure enjoyment generally speaking, has since decided that this could be worth something in the long run, mind you not the quick and instant cash cow, but a good way to get that extra lift every once in a while *smile*. So, if you too would like an opportunity to go browse through the Fractal Art area of the Print Shop, here is the link:

I hope you all will drop by the Fractal area of the Print Shop and take a look around. I know I had some fun and was quite amazed at the beauty and also how my own skills matched some of the artists already doin well in the Print Shop. Good luck and happy browsing!!

So, how should a fractal artist market themselves? I'm by no means an expert on this (far from it) and would like to know some tips in this area. What works. What doesn't work.

I'm sure there are some artists in the fractal community that, given the networking capabilities of the previous stated, could easily sell prints. Of course, fractals are hardly a hot commodity.
