The OS for Furries is changing - for the better.

The project "Furbuntu" will no longer be a rework of the linux distrobution "Ubuntu". Instead it will become a skin for Ubuntu Users and will also stand as a proof of concept to our next project - an entirely new and unique OS that will incompass everything would expect in a professional OS.

Furbuntu? What is it?

Furbuntu was the original progenitor of this program – the first step in our journey towards success. It was designed initially as a distribution of Ubuntu – an open source operating system – that was built by and made for members of the Furry Fandom.

However, recent developments have resulted in a directional shift for the project – instead, we will produce a Ubuntu Skin – mostly for fun and entertainment, but secondly to stand as a proof of concept design for the next stage in our FurryOS development – CreatureS

A New Begining

CreatureS – or CreatureSystems – is the new wave in fandom-oriented operating systems – and when finally completed, and fully operational, will provide a high level of functionality, geared towards furries – and perhaps just furry lovers – on a world wide level. We envision this operating system as the future standard for furries everywhere, who're yearning for a better operating system but are lost in the sea of choices that can sometimes be very disjointing having just stepped away from Microsoft-based systems.

The Furbuntu Contest

The $250 contest to generate wallpapers, music, and icons is still going on and the winners will be announced on the 18th of April. However, all participants will be bundled with install file for the skin. Instead, the top 5 winners will come as wallpapers for CreatureS when it is released.
