The "Show Them You Love Them contest" is to benefit and raise awareness for the abused and unwanted animals you find in shelters worldwide. We are trying to help show the DA community the love that we pet owners have for our animals, and the pain and desolation of those lonely few who roam the streets without love and affection. This contest is open to everyone, whether you have an animal or not, and has two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Though it is photography (petography to be more specific) only! The Grand Prize is a 3 year subscription, monetary donations to humane societies within North America, a free print, 3 news articles and nearly 40 journal features!

This contest has received a fantastic amount of acclaim and has been sponsored by multiple clubs within the DA community! Please love this article if you support this contest and help spread the word by advertising in your journal! Even if you only get 3 or 4 page views per day, it can still make a difference in this contest!

Eye contest update

The ~staring-at-you-club is having a contest for our club I.D. The contest end on January 5 2010. We have a small number of entries, so the competition is not all that tough.
Here are the rules and guide lines:
1.The pic must pertain to eye(given since that is what the club is about)
2.It must have the title our our club in the picture

4.We have rights to all submission

First 100D Contest!!! - Interpret This

What?! You don't know what 100D is??
Ok, let me give you a quick summary...

100D is the shortening of "The 100 Deviant Project". (*The100DProject)
It’s a project developed and started by =bewarecalamity and =SesshysRose where 100 unknown or underappreciated deviants get featured in journals by as many deviants as possible over the period of one year. It is all possible through the goodwill and kindness of each of the Revolutionists (what we like to call ourselves ;)). For more info on how you can become part of the 100D Revolution click here to visit our F.A.Q.'s page. Now on to the contest details!

Basically, we choose one stock piece (person, background, thing) from within the wonderful stock artists we have involved in 100D each month and see what everyone can do with it in YOUR form of art. We might get some cartoons, some paintings, some fractals, poems/stories, etc. All artistic mediums are welcome, and this contest is open to anyone at all! Get creative, and show us what you can do! Just be sure that, at the very least, you include in the description how it is interpreted into your art (if it isn't obvious). :D

In order to submit entries, please send a note to =Lone-Wolf-No-More, our 100D Contest Commissioner, with a link to your work. Be sure that your note specifies in the title that it is a submission for this contest. We will be posting all submissions and contest updates on the 100D main page (*The100DProject).

Feel free to submit as many times as you want, but make sure that your work reflects the stock provided in some way.

Also, and this is an important one, GIVE CREDIT TO THE STOCK ARTIST IN YOUR SUBMISSION!

This will be a recurring, month long contest, and the deadline will be the last day in each month, and in this case March 31st. Now onto what you all really want to hear about... the prizes! ;)

So you have until March 31st for this month's contest, and then in April there will be a different picture and April 30th will be the deadline for that contest, and so on.
